The ResMed S9 Escape Auto delivers both APAP and fixed CPAP therapies. To combat OSA (obstructive sleep apnea) the S9 Escape Auto uses EPR (Expiratory Pressure Relief) to prevent the upper airways from collapsing while sleeping. The S9 Escape Auto operates quietly, it emits a noise no louder than that of normal breathing. Also, the CPAP machine is very compact and sleek, looking more like a clock radio than a CPAP device, allowing it to rest upon bed tables unnoticed.
